How to Perform a Soft Reset on a Device (Wipe an EPI)
- From the Main Menu on the device home screen, select the 3 lines on the bottom of the screen directly in the center of the touch screen.
- Select the page down arrow for the second page in the menu.
- Select option #2 for Host Utility
- Enter the device’s password which is the device EPI. This is different for every device as per the device’s built-in Merchant Management.
- From here select the down arrow again for the next page and select option #1 to reset the terminal.
- Enter the last 4 of your device EPI once again and select yes when prompted to delete the database.
