IMPORTANT: Take note of the EPI that is currently in the device. That EPI number will be needed for after the reset.

Steps to perform a “Reset Terminal”:

  1. Settle any open batches (Hit the Star icon on the bottom left and select option 2 for settlement, enter the password which is by default the last 4 of the EPI)
  2. Tap the 3 horizontal lines on the main screen at the bottom center of the screen.
  3. Tap the down arrow.
  4. Select option 2 for host utility.
  5. Enter password if required, should be last 4 of EPI by default.
  6. Tap the down arrow.
  7. Select option 1 for “Reset Terminal.”
  8. Enter the Valor Master Password: 82567729
  9. Select Yes for clearing the local database.

Once this process is done, the terminal will turn on and ask to connect to the Wi-Fi if there is no Ethernet present. Once internet is connected to the terminal then it will ask you to re-enter the EPI for the device.
